Melanie Chapman

Melanie Chapman graduated from Bard College with a BA in Film, and considers herself priviledged to have studied acting with the legendary Sandy Miesner, as well as with Roy London, Richard Seid, Jeffrey Tambor and Stephanie Feury. Melanie is a member of the Open Fist Theatre company, and has performed as Mae in MUD, the Mother/Prostitute in ROBERTO ZUCCO, Ranievskaya in THE CHEKOV MACHINE, the Society Woman in TIME OF YOUR LIFE, and as Stepanida in HOW TO EXPLAIN THE HISTORY OF COMMUNISM TO MENTAL PATIENTS, which they recently performed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festial in Scotland. Working with inmates of Medium Security Prisons throughout the Southern United States with Geese Theater Co. has been her most challenging and rewarding theatrical experience thus far. Melanie's film and television credits include WEST WING, LOUDMOUTH SOUP, and a short film directed by Joaquin Pheonix for the band SHE WANTS REVENGE. Melanie would like to thank her family for their love and patience, and thanks you for coming out to support live theater!
