Jill Bennett

Originally from Fort Wayne Indiana, Jill Bennett stumbled into the performance world during her senior year of high school by winning a state championship speaking title. After finishing in the top ten at nationals, she headed to Bradley University to study theater.

Her film work includes Recipe for Disaster, Bull Run, Out at the Wedding, and more recently The Pleasure Drivers, directed by famed Tarantino cinematographer Andrzej Sekula, film festival favorite Expiration Date, In Her Line of Fire with Mariel Hemingway, and the upcoming romantic comedy X’s and O’s. In addition, Jill regularly participates in short films for the Instant Film Festival.

Television roles include recurring roles on Beverly Hills 90210, Steven Spielberg’s The Others and guest starring roles on Days of Our Lives, Zoe, and In the Ladies Room.

A dedicated Vagina Warrior, Jill had the pleasure of joining the cast of the The Vagina Monologues at The Apollo Theater of Chicago in 2001. Other theater credits include Celia in As You Like It, and Madge in Picnic with the L.A. Cultural Arts Center. She played Apemantus in an Ovation Award winning production of Timon of Athens, along with numerous episodes of Crime Scene, Fast and Loose and Serial Killers with the Sacred Fools Theater. Regional credits include Summer and Smoke, She Loves Me, Dancing at Lughnasa and Richard III.

Along with her acting work, Jill is one of the founding members of The Sugar Daddy Show, a cabaret style drag king troupe known for blending gender politics with campy performance. Formed in 2001, the show toured West coast clubs and universities for three years and made a splash at larger cultural events including Los Angeles Gay Pride, Long Beach Gay Pride, and the national women's arts festival, Ladyfest. They enjoyed international press coverage heralding their innovation in the queer performance art scene.


Jill lives happily with her fiancé Jamie and their three crazy cats Butch, Spike and Luna.
