Candace Lopez - Director Candace Lopez just can't get enough of V-Day and vagina love! Her involvement in V-Day began at Pepperdine University where she earned her degree in Intercultural Communication with a minor in Spanish. Despite strong opposition by the university, she performed in the 2004 V-Day Malibu production of the Vagina Monologues, produced by Victoria Russell. During the production of this show, the relationship between Candace and Victoria blossomed into a strong friendship built on the desire to help women globally. Their friendship flourished so much that Victoria asked Candace to direct the Vagina Monologues for V-Day Malibu, 2005, be on the steering committee for V-Day West LA 2006, and direct the second show for V-Day West LA 2007. Candace currently works as the Events Coordinator for the LA World Affairs Council and volunteers for the Haven Hills Domestic Violence Center and the LA Gay and Lesbian Center. She is also a member of Equality Now, an organization that seeks to change laws that discriminate against women worldwide. She would like to thank the Sole Sisters for their love and support, Justin, Raul, and Sam for being incredibly dedicated Vagina Warriors. Men can be Vagina Warriors too! She would also like to thank her girlfriend Teresa for her unconditional support and last but not least, Ms. Vicki for always having faith and always providing amazing opportunities for her. >back to cast
